I love Kate - seeing her on a mystery at pretty much any point during the book series would be great, seeing her use her skills in solving stuff and fighting is really good stuff. I love Julie being a bit of a trouble child, but her and Kate still getting along super well, and I love the vaguely antagonistic 'oh but we have to work together' relationship that Kate and Ghastek have. If you wrote something including Ghastek I'd love for Kate to like... drop a problem in his lap and be all 'oh so sorry' but she's not really sorry, and just them sassing each other. Andrea/Kate is pretty much wish fulfillment, but I do think they deserve each other.
I'd prefer to keep mentions of Kate/Curran to a minimum (and not mentioned at all in a Kate/Andrea fic). I just don't particularly like him, sorry >.<
