In the interest of getting as wide a range of opinions as possible, voting on the following issues will be open for one more week. A compromise was proposed for question 1.
1. Last year, matching was done on an OR basis (matching on a minimum of one (1) requested character) in contrast to the year before where it was AND matching (matching on all requested characters). OR makes matching and pinch-hitting easier, but some people prefer AND matching. If you have a preference either way, please let me know. Anonymous commenting is on, but please sign your comments.
There was a suggestion of "let people request the same fandom several times (while still having to request the minimum of fandoms)" -- as far as I can tell this would require me to check each sign-up individually. I do not have the time to do this.
"Another alternative would be to do OR matching, but let people nominate relationships as well as characters" -- I would be willing to try this, provided people agree. As this is a compromise between "OR" and "AND" matching, I am assuming that everyone who has voted so far would be in favour of this. If this is not the case, please let me know.
2. I was asked last year if the exchange could be open to art. It happened too close to sign-up for me to take it into account last year, but I can take it into account this year. Would people like me to include art in this year's exchange? If yes, what kind of art and what would the equivalent to the 1000 words minimum requirement for fic be?
If you have voted already you do not need to vote again, unless you are changing your vote. You should have gotten a reply from me about how I was counting your vote; if you are changing your vote or I am mistaken, please let me know.
So far 21 people have voted, between the livejournal and dreamwidth comms. 8 people voted for OR matching, 13 for AND matching. 11 people voted YES to art and 10 people expressed no opinion. No one voted NO for art.

Date: 2016-04-02 04:18 pm (UTC)1) You say the minimum (offer?) will be 2 tags per fandom. But the FAQ says "In each fandom, you have to offer 1 to 15 nominated characters/relationships", which sounds like we can offer just one tag in a fandom if we care to.
1b) And there seem to be plenty of nominations where there's only one tag in the set, just a relationship. How in that case would we offer 2 tags?
2) Also, is it still OR matching this year? The FAQ says "Assignment fic must be at least 1000 words in one of the requester's fandoms, featuring one or more of the characters or relationships they requested". (Which is great with me, I have to say! I just wanted to check and see if we're now instead required to write about every character/relationship they included in their request.)
Sorry to be slow on the uptake, and thanks! :)

Date: 2016-04-02 11:20 pm (UTC)1) Thanks for catching this. I've modified the FAQ to reflect that offers must have a minimum of two (2) tags.
2) In this case, you would offer "Any" by clicking the box.
3) It's OR matching this year. You're only required to write for ONE of their requested characters/relationships. You cannot choose to write about only one member of a requested relationship, unless they have also been requested independantly.
I hope that answers your questions. If not, feel free to ask for clarification.
